Haitian lawmakers voted Friday to dismiss Prime Minister Michele Pierre-Louis, citing her poor performance in shepherding the poverty-wracked country's economic recovery.
After a 10-hour debate a majority 18 senators in the 29-member body voted just after midnight to dismiss Pierre-Louis, an economist who has led the impoverished Caribbean nation for just over a year.
